BOSTON — EDICON, a conference that combines RF/microwave with signal integrity/power integrity, took place here from September 11 through 13, 2017. EDICON 2017 was the second such event in the U.S., having first appeared in China. While the conference sessions were equally divided between RF/microwave and SI/PI, the exhibits were decidedly slanted toward wireless, with a bevy of exhibits showing an array of microwave components.

This quadrature hybrid from Response Microwave lets you produce I/Q signals so common in digital modulation. The RMHY3.500Nf covers 250 MHz to 500 MHz with 3-dB coupling.
Response Microwave also exhibited an accessory kit for vector network analyzer (VNAs). Such kits include connectors, terminators (short, open, through), and a torque wrench. Because VNAs work at very high frequencies, connectors mush be tightened to a specified torque.

Antenna manufacturer Lexiwave exhibited several of its designs, including this one for IoT devices made on a PCB.
