Northrop Grumman win $84M U.S. Navy contract

PARIS – Northrop Grumman Corp. announced it has concluded a three-year $84 million contract with the U.S. Navy to support the Naval Education Training Command (NETC).

Northrop Grumman said it will provide planning and assessment, curriculum development, and computer-based modeling and simulation training solutions. The team will also be responsible for providing program management and staff support.

Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Navy are long time partners.

Earlier this year, Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Navy announced they had completed a series of flight test to demonstrate technology that could help extend the operating range and flight duration of future carrier-based unmanned systems. The flight tests proved the functionality of the hardware and software that will enable the X-47B unmanned aircraft to demonstrate autonomous aerial refueling in 2014.
